Klujam 8 Done!


So that’s it, the jam is over. It felt a bit weird to be basically finished after a day. Consequently I slack off for Saturday evening and only worked a few more hours on Sunday.

One thing I saw again was that starting out with game states (menu, game, etc.) may seem unnecessary but adding them later on is a PITA. There were a couple of things that I would have liked to do, for example I have a somewhat working particle system implementation that I just didn’t manage to get to my satisfaction in the half hour that I worked on it. Another missing feature is a single player mode against a computer enemy. That would be particularly useful on a phone where input for two players is a challenge.

All in all it was a pretty relaxed jam thanks to proper scoping.
